Club Systems
It is important to understand that the policy covers partnership agreements, and that to depart from a partnership agreement (a psyche) is not a violation of the policy.
Junior Grade
As a large portion of this grade are new to the game of bridge sSystems should be as natural and simple as possible. Acol is generally the prefered bidding system and the only conventions used are Stayman, Gerber & Blackwood.
Intermediate Grade
Systems should be as natural and simple as possible. Acol is generally the prefered bidding system but system development is encouraged and are constrained to the following.
Green Systems - All
Blue Systems - All
Senior Reserve/Senior/Open Grade
Pairs Events-Including Swiss & Butler pairs plus teams when less than 8 boards are played in succession against the same pair
Less system restricion applies to these grades and the following systems are permitted.
Green Systems - All
Blue Systems - All
Red Systems - Limited to those that exclude Brown sticker conventions
Teams Events - and including Swiss & Butler pairs when 8 or more boards are played in succession against the same pair.
This category will include nearly all teams tournaments and some Swiss pairs tournaments, the deciding factor being the number of boards being played in each match/round.
Green Systems - All
Blue Systems - All
Red Systems -All Including Brown Sticker conventions.
Yellow Systems - All (Require opposition to be advised as to an appropriate defence)
